Air Control is a mess. Flying around is fun, at least before it gets repetitive, but then (at least the coop) scenario becomes a satire. Supplies unhooking themselves prematurely leading to objective failure, support assets getting destroyed on spawn, same with bought vehicles getting blown up from collision with the hangar. Feels like noone tested this.
Then there's pointless and rigged objectives. I've spent 30 minutes on one objective just for it to fail for no reason. There's no reward system for responding to troops in contact events. You can reinforce the garrison on one phase and lose that point immediately on the next regardless of your actions and supply status. The objectives often force you to engage the enemy dangerously close and in the open since friendly NPC gunners can't target anything unless ID'd, which sometimes doesn't even matter because you can still be engaged by anti-air well outside enemy AA coverage.
There's a lot of annoying details to specific areas, like LZs with crash-inducing objects, decorative trash in the base which basically constitutes FOD, limited space for vehicles with no apparent way to sell them etc. On coop the airfield is cramped on day two. Saved states often get randomized, thanks to which the strongpoints are again low on supplies and joining players lose their progress (although at least there's finally some coop save system). Combined with how the DLC feels rushed and subpar to others makes this very underwhelming experience.
