I feel like the most consistent issue throughout AC7 is the lack of focus in missions. So often, you're given an objective, only to have the mission end with the game throwing a high speed boss dogfight at you. This means that, despite the wide variety of planes and possible loadouts, you're kind of forced to bring an all-around aircraft with you and you're especially barred from bringing a pure bomber.
This mission is a major offender in this regard. The initial raid is a ton of fun, I love bombing/close air support missions in flying games. But I want to be able to bring a plane suited for that kind of combat. The addition of a (honestly pretty bad) boss fight at the end of this level significantly diminishes enjoyability and changes a mission that I would probably replay over and over into one I likely will never touch again.
