Strider İnceleme (kokiri1232)
Strider 2014 is not only a good sci-fi, metroidvania game. it's also a really good remake of a classic video game, now what is the story. In a world ruled by the cruel Grandmaster Meio, most of the world has given up hope as who would dare rise up against Mayo with his army that believes him to be a god. But there is one person that is determined to see the end of Meio, a young Strider named Hiryu vows to bring an end to the evil tyrants rule and free the earth and its people from Meio’s cruel dark shadow.
Now then likes, the gameplay is good being a metroidvania instead of just a side scroller like the original game actually fits Strider very well, giving you a chance to see and explored the world of Strider and having good combat that keeps you on your toes and light puzzle work and interesting and tough bosses, all help make the game play quite enjoyable.
The story is good it's pretty simple you play Strider and your mission is to destroy The Grandmaster just like it was in the original game, although this has more cutscenes and some collectibles that add to the story. The graphics are really good, the shell shaded designs and colors really help the whole thing to just pop out and are a visual treat for the eyes, it just makes you just want to stare at it all for a bit.
The levels are good it's quite diverse with interesting scenery from an underground temple, to a military bases and a city area with its combination of old and new buildings, it all just begs to be explored and just see all the little details and touches. The characters were okay, they were pretty simple for this kind of game, nothing really to write home about but they have their own interesting designs.
The enemies and bosses were really good each one was quite creative and if you've played the original Strider then you're definitely going to recognize a few of them, like the Ape boss and a flying enemy that has been upgraded to a boss for this game, they're redesigneds were quite enjoyable keeping some of the original looks but updating it and the newer enemies had interesting designs like the Mecha tank was cool, had a nice Metal Gear Solid kind of feel to it. The bosses can also be quite tough but they're not impossible, you just have to study their attack patterns.
The music is good each track fits the game very well. The voice acting was fine as you'll be able to recognize a few veterans like one voice actor who plays the Bounty Hunter Solo. The extras mode was good getting to read the character files and seeing early concept art was very good, we also get a challenge mode for those who want a little something extra after beating the game.
Now then dislikes, there are some bugs in the game but nothing really game breaking and while I said the extras were good there's only one problem two bios Hiryu’s and the Mad scientist’s bio are not included which is sad, especially the Mad scientist’s bio because I really wanted to know what his deal was I think he had quite an interesting look.
Alright then with that all said and done with Strider 2014 is not only a good sci-fi, metroidvania game, it's also a really good remake of a classic video game, it has good gameplay, really good graphics and really good enemies and bosses, so I recommend this game it's a very good remake of a classic and if you played Strider for the Capcom arcade Stadium and you enjoyed it I definitely recommend picking this game up and playing it after that game. But I recommend playing this game with the controller and not a keyboard and mouse.
