Northgard İnceleme (タKaKoii」)
TL;DR:Absolutely love the concept of the game in general
1) Great campaign
2.1) Great alternative PvE content, however...
2.2) ... with the worst cheater AI you've ever witnessed. Its okay its a complex game, but... ()
3) Multiplayer is literally one tactic, the concept of the game doesn't allow for more
4) Community is rotten and elitist AF
-> 100% victim blaming mentality
-> CONSTRUCTIVE feedback is getting deleted when you don't align with their concept

1) Had lots of fun playing and learning the game with it.
The story wasn't epic, but it was a fun journey and as i said, you learn the game (not much hand holding, which is great because you can get a bit creative and test out things).
2.1) PvE Content: Conquest
Absolutely love the idea of it, especially since they added Co-op mode!
You basically take a clan and do missions and get bonuses for your clan to fight even tougher missions.
However on extreme difficulty the AI spikes are huge and not well balanced.
You will be forced to "reroll maps", basically you play some minutes only to find out there is NO WAY for you to win, wasting all of your time.

2.2) The good feeling when you hit a decisive blow? Thinking you can grow faster than the CPU with your amazing build orders and smart plays?
This doesn't exist. It is pure fiction to think you would ever get this feeling fighting this AI.
Whatever you kill they just instantly recruit another massive army, or when killing their eco they just don't care and happily live without worry and recruit new villagers.
The only way to win is to massively overpower in military or abusing their terrible AI script to make stupid decisions. And if you're lucky there is a map objective and u don't have to bother finishing off this cockroach AI, that no matter how often u stomp it, with the power of love and friendship... err... the power of cheats and MORE cheats it will grow back to its original size during your pissbreak
Look, i get it, AI programming is hard and tedious, even more so when a game is complex and requires more eco-resource management and im aware shiro worked on their AI here and there trying to make an effort. But as it still stands to reason, this AI can be the embodiment of anti-fun to play against on highest difficulty or can be so boring that you will be guaranteed to fall asleep.
3) MULTIPLAYER: boring AF, because it is always ... the ... same ... dumb ... tactic
a) generate money while staying alive & scout your enemy
b) cash in as many military as you can and try to rush your enemy
c) hope your micro is better than your enemies
There is no higher strategy opportunities and therefore it gets stale quickly and i'll explain in 4)
4) Discord: Absolute garbage dump
a) They delete your game feedback when you complain about AI being absolutely unreasonable*** and make a constructive idea of the AI villagers having increased gathering rates (e.g. WC3 200% gold gain etc.) instead of MAXIMUM resources all the time.
Instead they blame you on not abusing AI script, they blame you for not rerolling the map, they blame you for lacking skills (i finished the majority of conquests on extreme and very well know how to min max my build order, eco and my army)
Because why would agree with someone on how terrible the AI is designed if instead you can just troll him hard and force him to accept that all he can do is reroll the map, learn how to abuse the AI script more, or simply GIT GUD?
***Getting attacked TWICE within the first 3 minutes of the game with each time 3 military units (game length in conquest is about 30-90 minutes!!! )
*** AI owning 1 tile, 8 military units no villagers, AI doesn't catch sickness
-> no villagers = no food income, no food = sickness
*** 1v1v1v1, one AI is about to finish the map objective and the other two AIs, instead of trying to win themselves and hinder the one AI guy from winning instead attack me WHO IS TRYING TO HINDER THE AI FROM WINNING.
I could mention another 100 examples, but these are the biggest WTF is going on moments.
b) They delete your game feedback when you complain about how boring MP is, because its all just a "cash in for military" frickfest instead of more timings + macro focused.
Here is why: You do not TRAIN military but recruit it instantly, therefore there is no build time.
This is cool, because it allows for more reactive gameplay, HOWEVER at the same time it will ALWAYS be META to cash in all your villagers at time X for army and roll over your enemy.
There will _NEVER_ be a moments in this game where you hit a timing and continue your macro (e.g. like in starcraft), it is always cheese.
So if you enjoy cheese this game is for you, because MP is literally cheese ONLY, all the time,
theres no higher strategic component.
And if you enjoy being a meat grinder or an ass then i will recommend you to play extreme conquest, because either you will shred hundres of enemy units with no end in sight or simply get f*cked.
