2025 Roadmap
Hello Mayors!
This year, as always is moving quickly, and we wanted to pop in to give you an overview of our plans for the upcoming year! We’ve been deep in the throes of online co-op, and finding new things to optimize every day. But we’ve also been cooking up some new things for you before co-op!
Tourists: you love them, you wish they would stop littering everywhere—what if you could read their minds? What if they also had specific wants for food, shopping, and entertainment? Great news! We’ll be doing a complete overhaul of how tourists work for our next Major Update called (appropriately) Tourist Trap, which will add new strategy for both early and late-game players. Stay tuned, as this is almost ready to go into Preview Build, and if you’re wiling to dive in, we’d love to have feedback about it!

Also, this week is the beginning of the Cozy & Family-Friendly Games Celebration on Steam, and Go-Go Town! is 20% off as a result. There are also some great games and demos available, so we wanted to showcase a few demos and games we’ve been enjoying
TAVERN KEEPER (DEMO)
Our friends at Greenheart Games have released their demo of a tavern management sim, and it’s just a delight (and of course we’re fans of management games!). Hire workers, figure out layouts, temperature, filth level, unlock new drinks and meals and be the best Tavern Keeper you can be.

TINY BOOKSHOP (DEMO)
We’ve been excited for this one for a while—and they just announced a release date for this August! Manage your own mobile bookshop, travel around, meet customers, stock books they need. A beautiful game, and the devs are very nice (we were both at the Indie Arena Booth at Gamescom)

IS THIS SEAT TAKEN (DEMO)
From Wholesome Games’s publishing arm, this is a cute puzzler where you have to figure out how to place people in a scene where they’re all satisfied. Trickier than it looks, but really satisfying controls and cute to boot.

ISLANDS AND TRAINS (OUT NOW!)
A beautiful diorama creator focused on—you guessed it—islands and trains. It’s very meditative and calming, a great little way to give your brain a break if you’ve been deep in other games (ask us how we know)
