Omno Review (MooRicher)

Well crafted, short yet lovly adeventure game.

Omno tells a story about a journeyman seeking the light. In pursut of its kind and promised beauti he has to travel thru different lands and solve a number of puzzles. All while encountering numberous cute looking animals. Story is told thru journal entries found in the various maps. The game doesnt tell if you the Figure or another beeing wrote them. However the play along the same and the emotion reflected in the journey can be interpreted as emotions of the main character.
The Story does its fair share of work in order to create an immersive game. But mainly the game is about scenery and discorvery. While wandering the levels you can log Animals in some sort of pokedex. Some animals are used in puzzles others are just there to give life to vabrant world. It cant be said enough but sound, art und design work really well together.
I dont wanna spoil the plot but the ending is heartwarming yet leaves some question open. Beeing real even if it played out differently the game would rolled the credits at the exact same moment it did at the actual ending.
In terms of problems any of the unwanted sort. They game is pretty polished. Sometimte grapping a ledge und pulling yourself up can cancel or be canceld easily and leave you falling down. Other than that there is no option to adjust the music and sound volume in the game. So prepare to have a louder game only to be handled by your OS Soundsettings.
Another good thing worth mentioning is you can aquire all achievements in your first playthrough. If you missed something you can later select the levels you wanna replay.
One Thing that may struck you away is the price. I bought in a 75% sale for 4,50 € which is fine considering my 4h playtime. But without sale 18€ is bit much. I know that this game is created by a single dev and he proubly had to pay a lot of stuff for assets and music. But the price is reasonbly a little to much for what you get. I enjoyed the game so it would have played out fine at the end. There are worse game out there for the same price or much more. Still i wouldnt be surprised if the price keeps people away.
None the less i d recommend to buy and play this game. Be it in sale to keep an eye on your money or at full price to reward a dev for a great game from my point of view
