Grindstone Review (Ignite)
An amazing game to play on Steam Deck.
Grind stone is a simple game. A 3 match (+) puzzle where you set the path for our babarian to moving while slaying in the enemies with 1 hit (most of the time)
This is what simplicity gameplay done right in a way it will make your adrenaline rush. Its easier to explaining to you like this:
Yo start the stage >> You matching enemies color if you manage to match 10+ of them, You will get the Gemstone >> Matching these enemies can be done in 6 general direction so you can be as creative as possible on matching them but you can passing each of them only once >> Now with afore mention Gemstone however you could "crossing" the color and continue your matching combo further from the original color you start, The best part is that you can do this on multiple gemstone on the board so if you could manage, You can go crazy to 30+ combo if you know what you are doing.
but doing just that would only be to simple, So there are the special type of enemies (and obstacle) which apply different rule. You can only hit them once you accumulate enough previous "matches" which mean you must plan your self carefully on matching the weak enemies to have enough point to hit these big boys and maybe have enough to continue long combo further on.
Each completion of the stage yield you a reward. Which can be use for crafting, replenishing your health and buy upgrade. This is perhaps the negative part I could thinking of. Since it force you to do as the name of the game suggest, "Grinding" If you want to be beef up and playing with not much tension, You've got to grinding to have enough resources in your pocket to simply for repairing and healing. This is what I find annoying.
Aside from that, This game is very fun to play, Especially on Steam Deck since its quite difficult to completed each stage and you might want to cool yourself down before picking it up again.
