Reviewing (mostly) every game (or DLC) in my library, part 259:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10/10)
This is exactly the kind of DLC I love: it doesn't change the game, but it deepens it. Wildermyth is already a storytelling powerhouse, and the Armors and Skins pack enhances that storytelling by giving your heroes more visual flair and personality. It’s purely cosmetic, yes, but when you’re building generational legends, those visuals matter.
🥼 Pros:
Gorgeous new armor sets. The added gear designs are stylish, distinct, and feel right at home in Wildermyth’s paper-cutout world. Some have intricate motifs, others are bold and imposing, and all of them help differentiate your characters in meaningful ways. It’s fun to match armor designs to personality or backstory.
More visual identity for your legacy heroes. If you’re deep into Legacy Mode (and you should be!), the new skins are a godsend. They help give your returning heroes a fresh look, distinguish them from newer recruits, or emphasize their arc—maybe that scrappy hunter from five campaigns ago finally gets the look of a true legend.
Wonderful dye combinations. The added sets look amazing when paired with Wildermyth’s color system. Between the new armor and color choices, you can create some genuinely stunning hero designs. It makes party management and screenshots more satisfying.
Tiny dev team, big heart. Supporting Worldwalker Games feels good. Price is reasonable, as well.
👕 Cons:
Mostly-ish cosmetic DLC. While there are gameplay benefits, it doesn't affect the game that much.
